DAJ Hockey is entering into it’s 3rd year of operation and NHL Alumni David Jensen and Glen Featherstone have identified the biggest weakness in Youth hockey players today:  PROPER MECHANICS & EXECUTION OF FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS!

DAJ Skillz Center, located in Foxboro Sports Center is New England’s premier hockey training facility featuring state of the art equipment, but more importantly, personal instruction from NHL Alumni and/or our highly trained staff during every training session. We take what we do very serious to help young players improve and firmly believe in our NHL Alumni motto “PASSING OUR KNOWLEDGE TO THE NEXT GENERATION”

THE  KEY FOCUS OF OUR TEACHING & TRAINING:
  • SHOOTING – Sad to say but almost EVERY young player who has walked into our facility has never been taught  the correct mechanics on shooting. We focus on weight transfer, leg drive, accuracy, correct posture, forehand and backhand shots, etc… utilizing our Rapid Shot machine and personal instruction drills in our private rink covered with synthetic ice. EVERY player we have worked with has shown significant improvement in power and accuracy!
  • STICK HANDLING - With the use of our 2 Rapid Hands machines we insure kids are handling and controlling the puck while stressing proper puck position on stick, posture, balance, rolling of wrists, etc….
  • PASSING – Probably the most overlooked individual skill in youth hockey today.  Many coaches just assume a player can make a pass but the reality is shoveling a puck in a certain direction does not = good passing.  We stress correct body position, balance, passing from the correct part of the stick, accuracy, etc….
  • PLYOMETRIC TRAINING – The game of hockey demands strong core and leg strength. To maximize your child’s power we utilize 3 age appropriate training tools, Slide board, Box jumps, & ladders for foot speed.
